Boxers have been a part of our family for almost 35 years, starting with 2 pet Boxers my mother acquired when I was in high school. Erin grew up with the dogs helping me whelp and raise puppies and showed in Junior Showmanship as a teenager. My husband John loves the dogs but isn’t as crazy about dog shows, so he takes care of the dogs at home while I’m traveling. However, he goes to more shows now than he ever did and has made an annual trip on the Florida Circuit with me and is pretty good kennel help!
Our goal at Raklyn Boxers has always been to breed beautiful, healthy Boxers with good temperaments. All of our litters are hand raised in our home with many going to wonderful pet homes. When you’ve been breeding for this many years, you begin to have “repeat” customers as dogs age and pass on. The biggest compliment is when a family wants another dog from us.
We have bred 35 Champions, 3 Dams of Merit, 3 Sires of Merit, and 2 Legion of Merits. They are as follows:
Erin and I have always shown and finished our own dogs even prior to becoming Professional Handlers. We can only breed on a very limited basis now since I’m an AKC Professional Handler and travel a great deal.
As a Professional Handler I provide the same care to the dogs that travel and board with me as I do my own. I live on 4 acres of property with 2 large fenced in paddocks where the dogs are rotated out to run and play all day long. I own a 45 foot Renegade Motorhome and am lucky enough to have Karen Quagliana travel to all the shows with me to help take care of the dogs and prepare them all for the ring. The motorhome is set up to carry 14 dogs on any given weekend with the potential to carry 18 if needed.
We welcome you to view our website. Health records on any of our Stud Dogs can be provided upon request. Our bitches are also fully health tested, we believe in doing holters on all of our dogs even into old age, this gives us useful information.
I have also co-bred 3 litters of Dobermans, producing several Champions including a Top Special. I co-breed Dobermans with Gwen DeMilta and Carissa Shimpeno of Alisaton Dobermans, all breeding stock is fully health tested. Opus my 4 year old male is my current Motorhome Dog.
